Over the past several months, our country has experienced unprecedented times and events.  Each of us has been directly or indirectly affected by a pandemic, and we have watched our nation’s response to racial inequalities in society and in health care.  On June 1, 2020, The AANA issued a statement in response to the senseless and unjustifiable death of a black man in police custody.  Likewise, the AANA recognizes the potential psychological and emotional effect that systematic racism, implicit bias, and microaggression can have on our valued members.
