Gain a global understanding of the invention process, patents, an introduction to the regulatory marketing plays in getting an invention from idea to market, CRNAs must learn about the invention process: intellectual property, patents and regulatory requirements as well as marketing.

Jean Snyder has been a CRNA for over 24 years. She holds a patent for ERMA (Error Reduction and Mitigation Aide). She is the owner of Jean F. Snyder CRNA, Inc. And a partner in Goodwin and Snyder Anesthesia Associates, PLLC. She received her MSNA from SUNY at Buffalo and DNAP from VCU. She is vice-president of the VANA and active in medical missions. The focus of her professional practice is patient safety, innovation, and nurse empowerment.
