Dr. Stone received her DNP from Duke University School of Nursing along with a post-doctoral certificate in nursing education. Currently, she is a Clinical Assistant Professor and the Assistant Program Administrator for the University of North Carolina Greensboro nurse anesthesia program. She has been involved with peer assistance for CRNAs and SRNAs for many years in NC where she has served as the State Peer Advisor since 2008.

In addition, Dr. Stone has served on the AANA Peer Assistance Advisors Committee since 2009 and has been the committee chair since 2012.
